Mornington Peninsula is known for having some of the country’s best vineyards and wineries offering world class wines. But if you’re more of a beer person than a wine person, you’ll be happy to know that there are also a number of awesome breweries in town. Head over to one of these breweries and end your day with a glass of delicious craft beer and a serving of pizza, barbecue fare, or burger.
Mornington Peninsula Brewery
Located in Watt Road, the Mornington Peninsula Brewery is regarded as one of the best craft breweries in Australia. Their Brewery Bar exudes a casual ambiance so you can relax while watching the brewers create your favorite craft beer. They also offer wood-fire pizzas in different flavours and local wines.
Red Hill Brewery
Established in 2005 by Karen and David Golding, The Red Hill Brewery is among the first breweries to operate on the Peninsula. It was born out of passion for amazing, full flavoured brews that they have enjoyed during their travels overseas. Their Brewhouse and Hop Garden are beautifully located in the heart of Red Hill. Grab a bottle or two from their range of beers and pair it with a delicious serving of southern style barbecue or buffalo wings.
St. Andrews Beach Brewery
Built in the coastal region of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, the 38-hectare property was once home to one of Australia’s premier horse training facilities. It was later transformed into a garden to grow hops and fruit trees. St. Andrews Beach Brewery focuses on making great beers, serving delicious food, and giving their visitors an unforgettable and one-of-a-kind experience. You can find St. Andrews at Sandy Rd, along Fingal VIC.
Ocean Reach Brewing
Ocean Reach Brewing opened its door to the public in 2016. Located along Cowes, Phillip Island, this small brewpub offers good quality beers, great food and a stunning view of world-class surf breaks and exceptional waves. Their beers are hand crafted on site using traditional brewing methods and served directly from their tanks to your glass. Don’t forget to pair your beer with a delicious burger or a platter of cheese.
Boatrocker Brewing Co.
Located in an industrial estate in Braeside, Boatrocker Brewing is one of the first barrel rooms and cellar doors to operate in Australia. It was founded in 2009 by Matt and Andrew Houghton who have come a long way since its beginnings of selling their first beers from the back of their car! Today, Boatrocker has one of the largest barrel ageing facilities in the country. In 2017, Boatrocker became Boatrocker Brewers & Distillers, with the distillery Hippocampus from WA merging into Boatrocker to create an exciting new venture.
